Recently I went to a ranch of my friend’s and got some pictures taken of the local wildlife (and some not-so-wild-life).

One of the photos shows (quite poorly) a bee that appears to have become trapped and died while collecting pollen. I find situations like that interesting. Apart from national geographic, nature photography seems to try and capture only the idyllic. Or at least the nature photography that I come across. Availability bias.

I also experimented with my ultra-wide lens (and I need a lot more practice with it) and got one whole photo that I thought was (somewhat) acceptable.

A lot of the photos need work.
